Emerald Road

"Emerald Road” depicts a side view of the teal house represented in “Pearl Street”. Upon observing the house from different angles, I discovered unexpected variety, all equally beautiful. The piece explores the theme of seeing things in a new light, indicated by the windows that do not adhere to perspective lines. Furthermore, by showing spaces beyond the painting's borders, it highlights how our perceptions are often confined by our personal experiences and ideas. Yet, this is limiting. The staircase and red ribbon leading to the ambiguous, light-filled space suggest that potential treasures await those willing to see with a point of view.
